For a totally obscure reason, I was reading about Meridian, MS on Wikipedia and recognized maybe 3 of their "notable residents." I went to the wiki page for Midland, TX (my hometown) and recognized all but maybe 3 of the notable residents.
So, I thought it would be cool to copy and paste the notable residents of your hometown and/or current city of residence from wikipedia to see how many we all recognize. The ones in bold are people I think most people will recognize.
Here's mine:

No. My business partner thinks there is a large oil storage facility there and I figured it would be mentioned on wiki if it was true. |

| JoeyJojo, he drove through there a couple of weeks ago and saw some large storage tanks by the interstate and large pipe going into the ground. He brought up Meridian in a discussion about how Cushing, OK oil inventories have a large affect on the pricing of WTI although Cushing is only holding 5% of the supposed 600 million barrels of crude and refined products inventory. |

Not bad for a town of less than 10,000 people. Les Claypool is one of my favorites, and I know Tom Waits lives around here somewhere also but he wasn't mentioned. I saw him on Halloween dressed in a full-on, probably authentic, Union soldier outfit. _________________
