I have never wakeskated before and i was thinking. How do u get up on the board after your in the water already?
Since your not attached...

put it in front of you like you would start on a wakeboard and hold it with your hand. have your driver idle so the board is pushing against u and in a way suctioning to your feet, then get up just lake a wakeboard!
