Mine may be unique, but hopefully not. My ballast system will stop working on occasion and the dealer told me to just bleed it to get the air out of the lines.

Well, I can't figure out how to do that. The ballast is the stock 250lb system that comes with the 2005 Centurion T5 Storm.

Any suggestions? Is there something that causes air to get into the lines that I'm doing?

Sorry for the noob questions, first boat for me and I'm frustrated that I can't get my ballast to fill.

Have you tried driving the boat and then turning on the pump?

Like driving around with the pump on?

Yes. I've gone forward and backwards trying to force water into it. I can hear the pump running when I flip the switch. It will also spit water out (there is some in it right now).

There are 2 things I've seen done to get a pump to start working. Neither have been called bleeding in my experience.

There is burping which is taking off the outlet hose and forcing all of the air out of the sack. That is usually done when the sack is almost full but I guess it could be done before.

Using a reversible pump sometimes it helps to get suction if you pump water out then pump it back in.

Driving helps to force water to the point where it will get suction from the pump.

Your impellers could be shot, check for that, maybe some debris in there.
