Yesterday I went out for the first time in about 3 months and was not very comfortable in the air. Prior to this, I had only been riding for about 6 months and had my hs w2w 180 dialed, some nice grabs and was about 40% on my ts w2w jump at about 70' of rope and 23 mph.
Question I have is should I pull the rope in, slow the boat down and take a step back and then build back up to where I was. Or keep it where it is, take my lumps and push through until I'm back to where I was. |

This exact thing happened to me last year. I tried taking the lumps and pushing through. Was completely ineffective until I got some video. GET SOME VIDEO ASAP. _________________

Sometimes it's good to take a step back, get back to the basics, make that all good, then progress onwards. _________________ Suck it up and get hardcore! |

I would think taking a step back would be better. Go back to basics on whatever you are doing.
Heck, I promised myself the first full couple of days out, I am not doing any jumping (until the end of the day then Ill just have some fun). I plan on doing the "ultimate warmup" by the guys at the wakeboard camp which is essentially riding a lot of switch and carving, as well as all surface slides just doing every handle pass and just to get the best feel I can on the board.
REALLY get the edges down pat and full control of the board in any situation. _________________ One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. |
