X360 "Arcade"

What's the deal with this? From what I can tell it's $100 less than the "Core" model and you're only sacrificing memory?

I'm not a huge gamer but I'm thinking it's time to upgrade from the GameCube and some of the Xbox games look pretty tempting.

Is one of these worth it for $199?

Thats what my friend got, and there is some website you can go to if you got the Arcade version and they will give you a 20gb hard drive for $20. He did it, so if you want to know more about that website I can ask him for you.

Yeah, talked to a buddy of mine who works at EB Games, he said the only difference is the hard drive, but that is a $100 accesory. The next console up is $60 more, so that is some nice financial math right there. This is what I am told, but that $20, 20 gig deal sounds pretty solid as well. Personally I am going to take the upgraded model of box.

it is pretty easy to turn your 20 gb model drive into a 120gb drive. all for about $60

I just bought an arcade. it's my understanding that any external drive will work, but i have yet to try it.
