So i just put a tower on my boat. I went out for the last time of the season(because i live in ny) yesturday. I feel like after putting on the tower, it decreased the size of my wake. I'm assumming its due to the rope being mounted closer to the bow. Has anyone had this problem? I know i have to weight it, but i'm not sure how much _________________ Go big or go home. |

| If anything it would make it bigger due to the added weight, but maybe your tower is far enough forward on your boat compared to your pylon that you are now out of the sweet spot on your wake, try lengthening your rope 5 more feet. |

I have an I/O. So i used to just hook the rope up to the back of the boat. I mean it was really choppy when i went out, so i'm hoping that the wake was just washing out becuase of the rough water. _________________ Go big or go home. |

I'd suspect the same. _________________ I'm a hucker |

Probably so. Also, ashco said, you need to figure out the distance between your old tow point and your new tow point (measure it!) and you need to add that amount of length back onto your rope. You're probably riding 5 or 6 feet closer to the boat now, and the wake is more than likely going to be a LOT shorter at that distance. _________________

As a Tower distributor I'd put my job on the fact that it did nothing for your wake.
Sounds like you need to adjust something like your trim, rope length, speed, technique etc. or try again on a flat day _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

| i can guarantee that it is the fact that the point where your rope is hooked is further forward. try adding whatever distance change to the rope or if you dont have more rope slow the boat down a little bit |

Yea well i live in NY and haven't been able to wakeboard for a while now. I only got to go out once before the temp dropped below freezing. But thanks for the advice, i'll try that in the spring. _________________ Go big or go home. |
