I would probably say a little bit smaller than that...

http://www.frostyrider.com/tips/size-guide.htm

That calculator should help. An initial search real quick with the info you gave shows like 145ish, depending on ability level...

Give it a shot with some more info and you should have a good idea.

I also like short boards. I am 6', 168lbs, size 10.5 and I only ride a 152. A lot of it is personal preference. I also have a 161, so it depends on what type of rider she is too...

also figure what you are going to do w/ the board (jib = shorter & softer)... ability level is a huge factor too.... as well as boot size....

some suggestions:
Nitro: Mystique, Fate, Runaway, T1(more jib)
Rome: Jett, Vinyl, Detail(more jib), Lo-Fi(more jib)
Ride: Rapture, Solace, Promise, Fever(more jib)

oh, also remember that a jib board is softer...which can be good for beginners

The fever is incredibly snappy for a women's board. Probably not the best for a beginner.

^^true...but if she gets a small enough one, it should be ok..... BUT then that goes into the progression & buying new boards & blah blah blahh.....

Yeah probably take the Fever out as well as the Vinyl & Fate......

My daughter is about that size and we got her a 148 Gnu B-Street Banana-Traction this year.
