Can't get that last foot! Being pulled at 21, no desire to speed the boat up. I want to hit it at the current speed.
Lean harder? Body position? Am I not committing?
Thanks!

Bending over at the waist when you hit the wake. Keep you hips up. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

cut out further, then cut in harder. Vetter74 said it. keep upright. Ive been trying the same thing, pretty much exactly the same as that. i kept either falling backwards, or, clipping an edge.
keep youre weight centered i think. it might give you more balance if you do it with only one hand, that worked for me, otherwise, in the begining, it crumples you into a bit of a ball, sort of. lookin good tho _________________ shutup and ride |

Thanks for the tips guys. I definitely see I could cut out further and cut in harder.
I'm not seeing where my hips are down. I'm trying to make sure my knees don't absorb any pop. Is my body position or posture wrong? _________________ My Facebook

| i just looks like your not going out far enough and your edge looks really light so pretty much what everyone has already stated. when i was learning it i was told to cut out as far as i could before starting my edge in. |

Look back at your video you should not bend over at the waist when you go up the wake. Because of this you are compressing at the waist and it is absorbing all your pop. If you measure the distance between your shoulders and your knees at the bottom of the wake it is a lot less at the top of the wake.
If you fix this and cut a little harder you will have it. Nice job. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

pretty much as every one else has said. when you go out try:
- cutting out further, and cutting in a bit harder
- keeping youre centre of balance
-maybe try with one hand
other than that, youre almost there, soo close.
with a bigger cut, you'll get it, easy
what line length are you running by the way? _________________ shutup and ride |

I don't know that you need to cut out any further, you just need to edge harder on the way in. _________________

your not stiffening your REAR leg. loosing alot of pop there. thats also why your nose rises at times. fronts getting pop, rear isnt. i noticed it afte the first jump cause i struggled with it myself until some pointed it out to me. id also say a harder cut and push your chest out, and handle down when you pop. _________________

| Ya, STANG KILLA SS has it right. keep that back leg straight long with your back. you wanna have more weight on your back leg than your front leg. and if you find yourself sliding out on your heels on your landing, grab indy to keep you over your board. |

All this helps so much! I wish I had more advanced riders on my boat to learn from. Unfortunately I'm the best rider on my boat by far. Not because I'm so awesome because clearly I'm not, I just have more board time than everyone else.
Figuring everything out for yourself is a slow and long process, even more so when you just can't figure it out. I had no idea more weight goes on my rear leg, for example. Now it makes perfect sense. I'm going to stomp it this weekend thanks to ya'll!
Things like this help from you guys make this forum invaluable.
Thanks!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. After taking in all your advise and working today on fixing all the issues, it really paid off. At the end of the day I hit 4 TS W2W back to back! Even threw in a quick Indy on one of them, although not with a lot of style yet LOL.
I would not have cleared the wake this weekend without all the great advice you guys gave.
Thanks again!!

Ouch! Definitely a good reason to avoid casing the way huh? I have 2 bad knees already which gives me reserve every time I think about throwing something bigger than normal. But yes, it feels AWESOME to finally clear the wake in both directions! TS FS 180's will be attempted this weekend, as well as HS FS 180's.

At the end of this season I'm going to compile a video of my crashes. Unfortunately my "best" (er...worst) 3 crashes were not recorded. Like you said its so funny to watch people bite it, so I figure what better than a whole video dedicated to my inability to board?

Bridgeport. 12,000 acres of water and pretty much empty. Best kept secret in North Texas. |

| Oh, that would explain why I didn't know about your MC dealership, there is a bridgeport in CT too, so I thought you might be kind of local to me. |

Bridgeport, CT is the only big Bridgeport I think. Our population is 5,000. CT is 450,000. Minor difference. |

Yes this website has been a great find!
Next week I'll post up an updated video of my TS W2W. I've freaking nailed it now and it feels great! 180 attempts here I come!

I have to share some more. Not only are my TS W2W very solid and consisten with good air, but... This weekend I tried my first ever TS W2W 180. Not only did I land it but I landed it on the very first attempt. My HS W2W 180's also came today, although later in the day and not as pretty or consistent yet.
So once again thanks to everyone's help here! I likely still wouldn't be hitting TS W2W much less 180's. It feels awesome!!

| You should be able to grab your TS w2w 180's right away, its easy to do, easy to grab for the whole spin, and looks sweet. Next up is switch hs w2w & 180s, I found it easier to do switch hs w2w 180s before I got comfortable enough with my switch to land hs w2w switch. |

What grab(s) do you find work the best to keep your balance and throw a 180 at the end of it?
I have yet to try switch HS W2W. I do a lot of switch riding and some jumping even but no W2W yet. I know...shame on me. |

| I ride regular, so going into the wake toeside I keep the rope in my right hand, and then just grab indy (I think? I dont really know the technicaities of grabs), try to poke it out, and make sure im grabbing for the whole 180. |

Check THIS LINK.
I have found this the most plain and simply way to know exactly what each grab is. Its set up for regular riders like yourself. _________________ My Facebook

Ok gotta disagree with the whole keep your rear leg straight and put all your weight on it, yea it will get you across the wake but your gonna have problems progressing past that.
You need to put weight on your front foot and stick your chest out over the front of the board, and still edge in progressivly, when you leave the wake keeps both hands on the handle and give it a slight tug to your hip this will compensate your edge and keep you upright.
Putting all your weight on your rear foot will make the nose rise up and your letting go with your hand to compensate, when you go to do spins or inverts that require two hands you are going to be in trouble. _________________ Shane Cook

I'm able to get across now with my weight distributed pretty much however I please, based on what I'm going to attempt.
By the 2nd day of doing W2W TS I actually think its easier and takes less energy than W2W HS. I know the 180's are much easier starting TS, but that's b\c I have such trouble landing switch TS (on the HS 180's).
