Hey~ My parents are interested in getting a nice (but not TOO expensive) wakeboarding boat, yet they won't get it because wakeboarding boats "can't take the rough water well" when there is a really windy day. So I'm juist wondering what your opinions are when it comes to an affordable wakeboarding boat that survives bitter water. Thanks A Lot!!! Very Happy

Check out Tige (specifically the 21V or 22V rider's addition). It is wider than most boats, which make going wake to wake a little tough, but handles amazingly in rough water.

Don't know what "too expensive" is... we got ours for $30,000 with 100 hours on it.

Very Happy

You might want to check out a used Malibu Sunsetter, I have a 95 it has the same hull as the wakesetter so the wake is huge and the hull is wide. Where i ride it is a real choppy ride to get to our cove. we usually drive around 35 mph going to the cove and the boat doesn't bounce or rattle at all. It is the smoothest riding ski boat I have ever owned, and i have had Nautiques, Moomba's, and Tige. But the Malibu is my favorite. You can pick them up anywhere from $16K to $18K

I also heard that Sangers handle rough water well. Plus they might be the best deal as far as wakeboarding boats are concerned.

yeah I just bought the 2003 Sanger V210, Great wake and like I said it handles the chop really well. Great boat for the price! Just don't get the ballast system, it's not worth the extra $650 for a 400lbs fat sack and pump.
