|
|
| Hey all. Im an entry level wakeboarder who is obsessed with wakeboarding. I am currently boarding behind a jet ski. I know, laugh all u want but its all i have. As you probably know the wake blows behind one and i was wondering if anyone had any tips to help make the wake bigger. It is a 2005 yamaha fx ho. What i am thinking of doing is getting a sand bag..like 50 lbs, and makeing it waterproof, then tying it to the back of the ski. Please HELP... |

i wouldn't suggest anything other than a big driver.. but even with that the wake isn't going to be of much use. Just practice carving, riding switch, surface spins, ollies, ollie 180's and when you're better give a 360 a shot off of some rollers. Get your basics solid behind the waverunner and then whenever you get behind a boat you'll probably be throwin wake to wakes and 180's in just a few minutes. _________________ Wake Forest University |

| thanks for the reply and i greatly appreciate the advise. I have run through almost all the surface tricks possible except the 360s. Ive gotten to the point where i can do grabs off the wake, i just want a bigger one. |

| With a wakeskate you generate more of your own pop and don't really need a big wake to do tricks |

| o..ok well thank you.. wat i did do though is i bought a 50 lb. bag of sand and divided them up in ziplocks. Im going to put them in a bag and hang them on the back of the ski. Ill see if this does anything |

| Ok, so i put about 45 lbs. of sand in double ziplocks and in a duffle bag. Tied it to the back of the ski and it was the best idea i have ever had in my entire life. The wake was not too big but it was an actual wake instead of a whitewater breaking wave. The ski could easily hold more so im going to play around with it but it was amazing, almost pull a wake to wake of a jet ski! |

You could probably cut hard enough at the wake and ollie the entire thing. Leave the sand on the beach dude. _________________
