Hmmmm, if I can convince my wife we need a bigger truck, we might be able to work something out. I've got a 2004 F-150 that would be right in that ball park as far as value is concerned. I'll let you know.

By the way...what kind of mpg are you getting?

I would imagine he's getting fairly decent mileage considering he's done the intake and exhaust on it. Letting a diesel breathe better alone will increase the mileage a bit in itself. A programmer will make a big difference along with those two mods.
The 38" tires on the other hand.....well, unless it's been re-geared. Laughing

Stock 4:10's in this one. I've got a set of aftermarket diff. covers that came with it too. I guess the guy that had it was gonna re-gear it but never did.

MPG is around 14-15, but does it really matter? This truck could pull your house down and tow your boat like there's no tomorrow. You can't own a truck and worry about fuel mileage Very Happy

True...having a truck isn't about mpg. Considering diesel over gas, however, it comes into play. Along with towing capability, of course.

Wife isn't real thrilled about the idea. She would rather get something newer when we decide to get rid of the truck we have, so I guess my idea is purty much dead. Would love to have that truck though...looks really good.

Diesel fuel here dipped down to $3.97/gallon, and 87 octane gasoline is $3.63. We're getting there! Last summer diesel here was 50cents cheaper/gallon than 87.

Is that the 7.3l engine? What years did they make those like 97-2003? Thats a bad a$$ engine and truck. Good luck with the sale.
