Another Home Run for HBO in my opinion. Great show for those who like the horror/vamp/zombie genre.

Anyone else watching?

The other two new HBO comedy series are funny as stuff. Little Brittan I think its called? And Tim, which is animated. All highly offensive and funny.

I love it, but im not sure if its because ive been on house arrest for so long or not. everyone else seems to hate it!

definitely not a home run by any stretch for me. it's good, and better than anything else on sunday night. not one of hbo's best by any stretch. closer to john from cincinnati than the sopranos.

pretty cool premise though. fun show no doubt.

IMO, good show...not great.

It is no Entourage.

I like Entourage, but its the same plot over and over, gets old. Trouble, trouble, trouble for Vinny, Drama makes an ass of himself, Turtle gets high and turned down, Ari owns people up, 1-2 Star Cameo appearances, and then in the end Everything Works Out!!! They are stretching the down-bad time over a couple of episodes in the new season, but I promise you it will all magically work out in the end. Don't get me wrong, I love the tail and partying. But I can pick up any any episode and know exactly whats going on.

And you are right JT, its no Sopranos. But what is?

Generation Kill is my all time fav for HBO shows. I could watch that shiz for days.

in the spectrum of hbo shows, it's not anywhere close to their best work. it's a neat premise, but not nearly as well done as some of the others. that's all i'm saying. more like a ground rule double than a home run for me.

i like it, even if it is bastardization of Louisiana.

The setting is very swampy, this is found in South Louisiana.

Monroe is referenced a lot and it seems to be the closest big city around - there are no swamps near Monroe, mostly red clay and pine trees.

Merlottes is probably a tribute to a restaurant Mulottes in Lafayette.

Their accents vary too much, Renee is probably the most accurate for the region they are in, the others sound like they are from Georgia or Dallas.

They havent mentioned any food, if you have been to LA - even North LA, we are all about food.
