...find out what my cell phone is being powered by. Confused Im sure theres some logical explanation for this but it seems bizarre to me! My RAZR normally gives me the low battery warning after about a day and a half without charging. For arguments sake, lets say it dies after 2 days. Well heres the kicker...
I havent charged my phone in 3 nights and I have full battery. Shocked I have been texting more than average, calling about average, and am in the same service coverage as usual. I just noticed instead of having 2 bars of battery left when I went to bed a few nights ago it was still 4, so I decided not to plug it in. Well the same things happened the last 2 nights. My phone is no stranger to unusual battery phenomena. If I plug it in while on, the battery icon dissapears and it wont charge. I have to turn it off, plug it in, then turn it on for it to charge normally. But now, apparently it just runs off air. Anyone have any idea on whats going on? Im quite curious.

It's a Razr and it's on crack. Mine did the same stuff.

there could be a few reasons for this
1. new batteries take a few charges to get conditioned and will hold a charge better.
2. you have used a programming software (i.e. p2kman) and it screwed up you charging timer (until the phone died and reset itself)
3. the meter is wrong and your phone is about to die.

my money is on #3 Smile

It's actually a Transformer... It's getting up and charging itself through the night, and eventually, it will kill you.

the razr is/was a very quirky (shitty Wink ) device. the battery meter is often very wrong. i have seen them die, then turn them right back on to have 3 bars on the battery. i have seen them last a long time and the battery meter will go down very fast. (less than an hour) there are also other factors that could have attributed. the damn backlight timer may have screwed up to keep the backlight on (even after you close the flip) or it may have been in the signal searching mode. i have seen people get a week out of a battery, but not go from 2 days to a week. especially with an old phone, but with the damn OS on those phones, who the hell knows.

JoeyJojo, Laughing True. RAZRs are very quirky, although I cant complain too much. Mine has endured countless drops and getting wet multiple times.

Anyways, turns out it was option 3. Laughing About an hour after my last post I picked it up and it was dead. Still, it went twice as long as normal if not more. Cool. Cool

you are very lucky. i have had to replace countless screens and those crappy hinges in them. i usually keep a stock of spare bottom and top halves just so i can "frankenstien" a phone together for my friends when they drop theirs. Smile
