I probably have not progressed nearly enough to be attempting this, but true to testosterone, I wanna try them. I have made a few attempts, but I cant seem to get the timing down, and they are just made on a regular turn around, hitting the wake at about 45 degrees. Is there a certain time I should start cutting into the wake, and does it matter if I am inside or outside the turn? And is there anything the driver should do to make it easier on me?

45 is kinda open. you want to be a little closer to like 75 degrees, that will give the double up more kick and make it easier to time. If you're left foot forward, you should turn to the right, and stay inside the turn, so you can hit it on your heels. opposite for if you're goofy. Also, drive the turn really wide, and make sure you are going straight when you cross the wakes and are at your regular riding speed.

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

When should I stard edging in to hit the wake at the right time, because this seems to be my biggest problem (at this point).

It depends on if you want to hit the first, second, or third double up roller but as a general rule of thumb, you want to start your cut as the boat crosses the rollers. The biggest tip for hitting a double up is to spot the roller that you want to hit before the boat goes through the roller and just follow that roller in with your eyes all the way to the wake.

The only thing the driver can do to help you out is to turn the boat, right or left, the way that allows you to cut out the most compfortable way. then when the boat straightens out you will be in a position to focus on hitting the wake. as always the driver should make the turn as quick as possible. also try to hit the second or third wake, most likely to be bigger than the first.
