It hurts a LOT worse when you fall. Notice I didn't say IF you fall, because you WILL fall. Edging is the same, but turns are different. Also, you do "jump" when you snowboard vice using the pop of the wake to get airborne.

It wouldn't hurt to take a quick 1 hour lesson as well.

Good luck

wakeboardersim93, just ollie like a skateboard

pop off your back foot, then level out with your front foot

p.s. snowboarding is 200x better than wakeboarding!

Snowboarding is awesome. Just don't get discouraged stick with it. You will fall A LOT, but just keep trying and by the end of the day you should be doing fine. Knowing how to wakeboard will help you as well.

I went snowboarding a couple times last year, no lessons, and picked it up real quick....well after a bruised rib, bruised ass, and a banged up shoulder. I found with turning that if you flex the board a bit, kind of twist it with your feet it turns better. Just watch out for the TS bails, those are the ones that hurt, HS ya just kind of skid on your but. Have fun.

yeah man you will be fine... but JeffreyCH, ive never had to flex my board ot twist it to turn better. it's all about edging. When i teach people to board, i tell them to try to stay on the edge at all times. either your toe edge or your heel edge. you will learn how to carve better that way. I you try to turn with your board flat you are going to catch an edge. but if you wakeboard dude you should be fine snowboardin. just remember to turn with your back foot.
