I know everyone here like to have a good time and goof off once in awhile.
But here is a story I just heard about today:

Quote:
Teen still in hospital after boat accident
Vincent Bradshaw | Sentinel Staff Writer

August 7, 2008
MAITLAND - A 15-year-old boy who suffered severe injuries to his legs Tuesday after falling from a boat into Lake Maitland remained hospitalized Wednesday, police said. Lt. Jonni Schardine, a police spokeswoman, said the teen, whose name was not released, fell into the water as the driver made a left turn. The driver then turned the boat toward the victim, and his legs were caught in the ski boat's propeller and mangled. Maitland police said the boy fell from the 2004 Correct Craft ski boat shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday. The teen then was transported by helicopter to Arnold Palmer Hospital. Six passengers between the ages of 15 and 20 were on the boat, Schardine said.

i have had my leg cbut up by a prop. it is not fun. kid lost a leg? thats a bummer. hope everything else goes better for him.

luckily for me, i got a way with only 'cosmetic' damage, no ligament/tendon/artery damage. got one hell of a scar and about 2 months of walking with crutches/cane. then rehab.

again, hope everything else goes well for the kid.

Chad H, I don't get close enough to the boat while its still running to feel that. I'd rather waste a little more energy swimming to the boat than worry about a spinning prop getting anywhere near me.

sucks for the kid, especially since it really wasn't his fault at all. Hope he gets better. I'd probably be pissed at the driver for the rest of my life.

Ok, he fell out of the boat.

Then the driver circled around and ran him over?

If he fell out to the left, the driver would have to turn to the right to run him over right away.

Oh, and that girl that got ran over on Lake Geneva a few weeks ago was actually brought back to life on the boat, then died (again) on the way to the hospital.
