Its about that time now that I upgrade my computer but with so many options and new technology out there its kind of difficult for me to understand what I am buying.
I have narrowed it down to two computers. I like the new apple IMAC and the sony VAIO. I want to get the computer that is a little more user friendly. Im leaning a little more towards the IMAC. It looks great and it seems that people find it very easy to use.
The things im going to be using this computer for mostly is recording music. I would like to get a good software program so I can make record/produce. Since I write songs it would be easier if I could just go into the computer room and make the music and put the song on a track before I lose my thought. Other then that I will use it for my itunes and just surfing the web. I dont use it for gaming or any other purposes then music and web surfing.
here are the specs or the computers that I am looking at.
-IMAC-
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x2 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3
1TB Serial ATA Drive
-VAIO-
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.50 GHz, 6MB L2 Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Ultimate
Series Features: 22" widescreen display, wall-mountable, NVIDIA® graphics, read/write Blu-ray Disc™ content, wireless keyboard and mouse
Upgrade Features: 1.5TB (750GBx2, 7200rpm) HDD, external TV tuner
With high speed comcast that I run will they both be fast computers? Which one is the faster computer between the two. I dont understand what all those numbers mean. As cool as the blue ray DVD player is I will NEVER watch movies on the computer. I would rather watch them on my way bigger Tv.
Someone please help me. |

That was pretty funny. But really I love my HP. I have had several different computers, Sony, Dell, etc. and my new HP is by far the best computer I have ever had. I've had it for over a year now without a single problem, and its still running like new. |

Build your own! It's not that hard, there's plenty of stuff on the internet to get you started. I'd check out newegg.com's forum/chat and see what the people there have to say. _________________ RIP DLS.
