I currently ride an old 139 board and i am 5'7" and weigh about 135 lbs. I am looking into buying a liquid force ps3 but the size recommended for me is a 133. Why is it so much smaller than other boards and what difference does a smaller board make?

getting the right size will allow you to ride with more agility and stability on the water. Having a larger board is good for beginners but as you progress you will realize that you are riding slower in the water and wont be able to be as aggressive as you would with a board within your weight. a 133 would be perfect for you, it will allow you to learn a more effective progressive edge and its a good size to grow into. when you get bigger, a 133 will fit you even when you weight about 160 pounds. Ps3's are excellent boards too.

I've only been on 3 boards but the PS3 is - BY FAR - the best board. Landings are pillow soft, it tracks perfect and I can control it really easily in the air.

I'm 6'2", 175 pounds, and I ride the 137. The 133 would be great for your size and will definitely be an advantage in the air being smaller.

BOL,

Dusty

I'm considering the PS3 as well. I'm 5'8" @185 lbs. 137? Gonna try the CWB Zues bindings too.

I just bot the LF Cab bindings and tried them this last weekend for the first time. They are - BY FAR - the most comfy bindings I've ever had on. Its like wearing shoes on the water. I boarded for 90 minutes straight on Sunday and my feet never bothered me. Normally my feet are hurting within the first 20 minutes.

Never tried the CWB though.

And yes, 137 for your weight would be ideal IMHO...but I'm far from an expert on this site.

Cheers,

Dusty

Just some OT at the very beginning of last year when I first started boarding. They were borrowed and they were very uncomfortable for me. But to be fair I was totally new to WB so I don't feel I can give a fair comparison in anything other than just saying they were not comfy in the least.

I had been wearing the '07 LF Shane Bonifay bindings since mid last year. Nice quality, just painful.

I have a wide arch so I have a hard time with most bindings not squeezing me across that area. The Cab has solved that issue finally and thankfully.

I got these Cabs at Sun and Ski Sports 3 weekends ago. It was their last set and just happened to be my size, and they were clearancing them out. They go for $270 + tax everywhere ($292 out the door). I got these for $155 out the door after my GF's 10% military discount and their awesome clearance price. We actually went there to try on CT bindings for her. Couldn't find what she wanted but I got one heckuva deal!

Cheers,

Dusty

Yeah that's exactly the Bonifays I have. They would be comfortable I think if I didn't have a wide arch. But then again my other friends that I let ride them complain of similar things...too tight, etc.

The cabs feel like tennis shoes, its amazing.

Sorry to continue the hijack but I also really like the Cab bindings. I don't have a wide foot but haven't worn a comfortable binding until I wore a cab. When I bought my PS3 It was from boarders paradise / Cope McPheters Rocklin where they have a pretty good selection. I tried on every single binding they had for a size 12 foot. Figures the Salesmen would drag out some cabs last. They were on a substance display board so maybe they were the last ones in stock but they are really comfortable.
