hey im new to wakeboarding i only did it once in a cable park..i start off sitting on a bench and then when the cable comes and its my turn i would always get off the bench with a huge jolt and fall flat on either my face or my ass..
the guy told me when i launch to keep the board at 12 o'clock while launching but he never told me how to balance myself or turn so i need some help...i did try the kneeboarding and it was much easier

thanx for the help

I have zero experience with cable parks, but I am gonna do my best to give you advice from what I have experienced.

Keep the board at 12 o'clock then keep your weight on your back foot. Keep the handle at your waist, this way if it jolts you can still extend your arms, a little, to compensate for the jolt and use your shoulders and back to distribute the pull to launch your board. Once you hit the water keep weight on your back foot then lean back using the cable tension to give a "walking stick" to keep your balance.

To initiate a turn use the tension of the cable and lean to your left or right depending on whether you are regular or goofy and you can carve that way. Keep your weight on your back foot though or your front edge will catch and you will face plant.

Hope that helps, basically what I did when learning how to get pulled off docks.

And just remember that it all takes practice to get it down perfect.
