I Got a Housewarming Gift from Heaven!!!

As most of you know, my hubby, Chet, died 5 years ago. Most also know I just bought my first house and moved this past week.

Well, Chet used to buy me anything Tigger he saw. He died 5 years ago. I moved from where we were living to a condo, where I've been for 4 1/2 years. Last weekend I moved into my new house (my 40th b-day present to me).

While unpacking my dad's car I noticed a box I'd never seen. I asked if it was mine and he said "yea, it was in your condo". Curious, I openened.

A brand new (tag still on) ceramic Tigger teapot. I've never, ever seen it. Obviously my DH bought it for me but died before giving it to me. Yet it sat in my condo for that long without my ever seeing....until I moved into my new house.

Thank you Chet!!!!though you should't have spent that kind of money on a dust collector. Wink

Thanks all. At the time, it gave me total goosebumps. But I too think it's cool.

Only problem is it doesn't fit my decor but I know I have to display it. Oh well, it'll be one of those "conversation" pieces. Mr. Green

nice story. but i have to point out thats no dust collector and it was worth every penny he spent on it. how it must have made you feel to see it and be reminded of better times past, of your husbands love for you is priceless.
