|
|
First off, I'm a Mac user and I don't know stuff about iPods.
Second of all, I f'ed up my iPod. I tried this jailbreaking thing using a program called ZiPhone or something like that and now my ipod is stuck in what I'm guessing is a debug mode.
iTunes won't recognize it. I tried restarting it, and holding the home button as I reconnected it to USB. Running software version 1.1.4 and there doesn't seem to be any help for it except for iBrickr which happens to be for lame ass Windows.
What should I do? I'm thinking of calling Apple tomorrow and if that does no good, I'll try hustling those Future Shop nazis for an exchange.
HELP!!!
Thanks,

yeah calling apple would probably be the best idea for this and if not i bet if you took it in to a store that could repair electronics inside that bad boy is probably a reset switch or on of those batteries that keep it running even though its dead you know the cirlcular flat ones and they could pop that out and all would reset but thats just a guess call apple though first for sure... and good luck with that _________________ I represent NOR*CAL! |

I don't mean to be completely insensitive to your situation, but I find it pretty god damn hilarious that you're gonna have to use a PC to fix your Apple product.
But on a more serious note, I wouldn't bother calling Apple. I mean, you tried to jailbreak the thing do you really think they're gonna wanna help you fix it? |

scott a, shh I won't tell them that. Apparently the same thing can happen from other things. All the repair information is completely irrelevant to Mac though _________________

| Do some searcing on the internet. The same thing happened to mine when I jailbroke it. The is a certain set of steps do bypass the debug mode. Just type what you see on the Ipod Touch's screen in google and you should find it. |

No need. Just called Apple and they helped me force it into recovery mode and now I've got it. Told them the power went out during the 2.0 update _________________

I'm pretty sure my brother would have recommended Q do the same thing.
And yes, well played sir. _________________
