Ok so yesterday i got to go out on my friends centurion air warrior and we decided to try wake surfing. All we had was a 135 wakeboard and a 142 lf substance. I was trying most of it and i just couldnt keep with the wake. We changed speeds and tried turning while riding and filling the one center ballast tank they have. All didnt work but we got close
so my question is..what is the best thing to ride?
We have everything but a wake surf board basically
135 wakeboard
142 wakeboard
141 wakeboard
135 kiteboard
skimboards
a surfboard but not sure what size
so out of all that what would you guys ride?
or what would be easiest to learn on?
thanks for any help guys |

You might be able to get away with a skim, but its doubtful. You are going to have the most luck on the surfboard or get your hands on a wakesurfer. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

we might be able to borrow someones but we dont have 300 to drop on one right now so those are our options.
do you think wakeboards have any chance if we can figure out how to get the wake right? |

Nope, they are too heavy, not enough surface area, and the ride relatively low in the water. I mean you can ride back there all day, but you will probably never be able to let go of the rope. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

Definitely not enough surface area, when you are going that slow you have to have a good sized board under you. I just got the '08 CWB wakesurf board (the undersize is colored like an old style surfboard, I love it!!) on Thursday and I was ropeless the same day!
If you can find a friend with an old style long board even that would work. Check a second hand sports store for bargains (some place like play it again sports or something). _________________ Surfing in Georiga?? Who woulda thought??!?!? |

ok thanks alot guys
we found a skimboard at a garage sale that looked basically like the shape of a surfer for 5 so we bought it to try it. We ended up mounting 1.5 fins on the back and it amazingly worked. Wakesurfing is very fun and i plan to keep going! but a wakesufer will probably come in the near future |
