i have a 2000 rinker captiva 192, ive noticed that when some of the bigger riders
(180-200) cut out, they pull the boat a fair amount, this slows the boat a little, and sometimes pulls it a little off course. when the boat gets slowed down this creates slack in the rope. does any one have an suggestions as how to reduce the effect of the riders pull on the boat? would more weight or a differnt prop give the boat a steadier pull, less effected by the rider?

a larger diameter, less pitch, 4 blade would help that. as well as maintaining speed with normal riders. not that 180-200 is fat Very Happy

This is unavoidable, to a certain degree. I have a Bravo III drive on my 300 HP 22' I/O, and even I still get a little rear-end slide when a boarder makes a hard cut. The best thing to do is have the driver turn away from the cut just a tiny bit as the driver anticipates the cut beginning to happen. If you turn just slightly, the rider never feels it and it helps with the ass end of the boat sliding so much.

A good, experienced, driver learns how to make that tiny little turn right as he sees the boarder begin the cut when looking into his ski mirror.

That happens with all boats. The smaller the boat and the bigger the person and this will be worse. Perfect Pass is the solution for the speed issue. A progressive edge (wakeboarding technique) is the solution for the rope slack issue.
