I just got back from my first set with my sacs in the boat. I have ridden with my friends sacs in. 500 in the back and 300 in the bow and the wake was sick.
My setup is 600 in the back and 350 in the bow and the driver and one passenger. ('94 MC Prostar 190 closed bow) And the wake disappointed me. It wasn't near as big as before. I couldn't figure ot what the deal is. I even had a full tank of gas. All I could think of is the wake was off balanced. OR too much in the bow, but the wake wasn't curling, so I ruled that out. Any body got any ideas?
Also, I have the side compartments that hold skis. I was thinking of getting 4" PVC pipe and fill them with sand and glue endcaps on them to run down the sides of my boat(about 80" long). Good idea or bad idea? I want to just get side sacs, but I'm out of funds and I don't wanna take up the floor space.
Thanks! _________________ Ride harder...

Just been out for first time with sacs in my M/C 205 and same thing - wake not as big as I expected. I think I could have too much up front as swim platform is clear of water when stationary. I'm gonna try a bit less up front and see what difference that makes. My experience is (albeit limited) that a couple of bodies can make all the difference, especially if they are sitting behind the engine. Lemme know how you get on. _________________ Jeff |

| With my sacs, it took a couple of trips to figure out the right configuration. Just gotta keep experimenting. |

I figured it out mathematically. I have about 47% up front and 53% in back. It needs to be 45% and 55%, but it's not of much and I don't think that's the problem. _________________ Ride harder...

| It is different with every boat. You need to try out different configurations to see what works best. On my boat, we run 2 side sacks, and load the people in the back (usually 4 in back). We then have one driver and one person in the front. The wake is largest and best shaped when we load the back and just keep a little weight in the front. |

we went to two 750lb side sacs and one 350 in the back of an 86 prostar your boat has a wider beam than ours, think mine is 80" yours should be like 86 or more. last year we ran two 350 lb side sacs about 150 per side sand behind the sacs and 200lbs in the bow.... kept getting washed over the bow,the wake was clean and good sized butnow the swim platforem is a good 3 or 4 " under water the wake is as big as many we have seen on here( I will post new pics) I have two pics from last year on wake.com... anyway if you load more in the back the wake gets more vert. can wash out easier but if you play with the speed you are riding and how much you load it you can get to pro size wakes.
