The Olympics are turning into the X-games. First pipe events for snowboarding now BMX. It's just a matter of time before skateboarding gets thrown in there too.

I just saw that on something on FuelTV as well. Very interesting that is for sure. I wonder if the Olympics is starting to add Action Sports just so they can draw a bigger audience.

Kinda interesting to see the difference in the reactions of skateboarders and bmx riders. All skaters were against the idea, because they thrive off individuality and not having to be a part of a "team".

The olympics are always changing events sometimes they work out and sometimes they dont.
I guess it does bring in a wider audience, but to me the Olympic Games is all about the original events - to find out who is the Fastest, Strongest, Can jump the highest and furthest etc.
The Final of the Olympic Games 100m Sprint is still the single greatest sporting event in the world... IMO of course Very Happy

I think they should have tubing and kneeboarding in the olympics, not wakeboarding tho its way 2 individual and not as fun to watch

I was surprised Bmx was in it too, i saw it in the Olympic Trials Comercial.
