I was wondering if a 135 was to small for me.. I currently own a 137. I am 5'10 and 145lbs.

I found a good deal on a 135 but I was wondering if it was to small.

And if it's not to small what are the drawbacks/gains of going with a smaller board?

Thanks in advance Wink

Depends on how you feel your 137 rides...do you have good control of it?

My board is big for me (139 and I weigh 136) but I like the soft landings and feel like I have really good control of the board...but then again this is the only board I have ever rode.

It should actually fit pretty good. I like to ride small because im not very strong so i have better control. Also I ride LF Shane Bonifay and it is way wider than most boards so landings are real soft. What board are you looking at?

hyperlite Imperial.

I currently have an entry level obrien board, I love the company but hate the board. It sucks.

is the imperial any good???? I am getting good fast and I would love a board with tons of pop, but at a affordable price.

I am also not that strong so a shorter board might help me a little?

The board is also a wider than normal.

I seen a couple of people that have it at the cable park, but never asked about it.

thanks

The shorter board will have less swing weight so you can spin faster, but it won't land as soft as a bigger one. I've heard good things about the Imperial. It's shaped by Scott Bouchard who was (and still might be) teamed up with Scott Byerly, so its almost definitely going to be a good board. Plus I'm a big fan of Hyperlite.

ps. The 135 would be a good size for you.
