You know, the really sad thing is that it probably took you more time to start this thread than it would have to google "drink recipes."

--cresko--, use regular white or unrefined sugar in your mojitos. It doesn't dissolve as well but when you muddle the mint leaves and sugar together it helps grind into the mint and really opens up the flavor.

Oh, and 1 part Sailor Jerry and 1 part coke over ice is all I need.Very Happy

I'm a minimalist, if you have to put a bunch of fancy chit it a drink you are drinking the wrong type of booze.

2oz. Single Barrel Bourbon + 1 ice cube
2oz. 12 + Single Malt Scotch + 1 ice cube
2oz. Grey Goose + 5-6 ice cubes + lemon twist

new summertime favorite
Tequila Tonic (like gin and tonic, but with a nice reposado or anejo, but anejo can be a bit much)

My drink on the job recently has been cheap tequila with lemonade and a splash of roses. It is not bad

Otherwise when I don't need to worry about covering up my drink, I am with jryoung and like to stick to just the neat or straight up minimal drinks. I don't know about mixing aged tequilas with tonic though, anejo is probably the one thing I enjoy most by itself.

If you really want to learn about drinks the right way, instead of just looking everything up and putting it all to memorization, and you have some money and time to spare (or a bar at your disposal Wink ) I would get the following:

Vodka
Gin
Tequila
Brandy
Rum
Whiskey
Other (jager, shnapps, baileys, etc)

Then try something different everyday all by itself neat or on the rocks. When you run out of a bottle, get a different brand of the same type.

Once you get a feel of how everything tastes and the flavors they produce, then experiment with using mixers.

Club soda
Tonic
Bar Sour
Various juices
Milk or cream
Coffee

Once you have a feel for the drinks you like, then look up the popular drinks and see if any of them interest you.

YUKKA!
A bucket
Bottle of Vodka
10 Lemons
cup of sugar
Ice

-First, slice the lemons up and throw them into the bucket (gallon jug whatever). Then fill the jug up with ice. Pour 1 cup of sugar in. Then put as much vodka as you can get in. Put regular vodka, not flavored. STIR VERY VERY WELL(at least 20 minutes for best taste). It tastes just like Lemonade and it will get you messed up! Mr. Green

Oh god i love sailor jerrys. Drank it a lot in college, but they dont sell it in too many places back home. If i remember correctly the price was great as well.

My weekend would consist of High life light @ 7.50 a 12 pack

Ding ding ding....we have a winner. This is definietly my favorite drink. I remember whan I was a kid, I'd always ask my Grandfather for his cherry. Nothing like a cold maraschino cherry soaked in liquor when your 10 years old.

Watched the results of this one night Shocked

Use a new paint can, when filled like you stated, put the lid on, wrap a towel around it, then let evryone take turns shaking it. After 20 min, remove the lid and pass it around.

Hint: give a straw to your date, the ice slows down the consumption when drinking direct from the can.
