This may sound prickish but you aren't going to find many people that have ridden the Ronix stage yet. Most people, as I am, are pretty afraid of that shape.

You will find that most of the major wakeboard manufacturer wakesurf boards are ok beginner boards, but are easily outgrown and set to the side. Surfboards are a whole different animal, they really are a specialized board. In many cases the wakeboard companies make surfboard size wakeboards and call them surfers.

heres the board i ride, super light, but really fragile, but its easy to ride, and its short so you can do tricks. you'll find yourself bored fast with a longer surf.

So do I stay away from the wakesurf boards made by hyperlite, liquid force and CWB?

What boards should I be looking at?

I have read on more than one forum to stay away from that board.

deafgoose, Walker Project, Phase5 both make some amazing boards. I honestly wouldn't even consider LF, HL or CWB.

Would the 2008 Walker Project - "G3" COMPOSITE X SERIES 4.5 be considered a "decent" board to start out with?

deafgoose, depends on your weight. But yes, I would say so, the Walker Projects are among the easiest riding small boards IMO. They're ridiculously fast.

Decent is an understatement. I have the 5.0 and love it.
