| You're obviously right there. I can't do a 5 but after watching the vid it's pretty obvious you just aren't landing out over your toes enough. Not just on your toes but with your chest out over them. Looks dang good though. Nice pop, very smooth. |

| I'm no expert at this trick, BUT Epic is right. Do everything you're doing but once you pass the handle back to your right hand try to pull it way back around to your hip. I mean exaggerate it. You just have to give it that extra tug to make sure you get enough weight over your toes. Bending at the waist helps a bit too. Don't worry about over-rotating. It's not gonna happen. |

take a smaller cut at the wake.. you have to much tension in the rope that you cant get your weight back over your toes. _________________ Hesitation leads to pain |

It looks like you have the spin pretty good. I'd work on doing some big hs180s into the flats to get the landing solid. You just need to get over your toes more. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

The handle is a bit too far away after the peak of the this move. try to pull a little longer, not necessarily harder when making the 1st handle pass. then keep your hands moving quick to get the rope back into your right hand as fast as you can. this gives you maximum time to balance out your t/s edge on the landing. that's it your gonna stomp it from there. good luck. _________________ Mark Kenney, 1983-2002

| you really need to bent over your toes. At the beginning, you need to exaggerated this movement. You spin it very well! |

I think that when you come down on the water, you should just land and keep riding. do that a couple times and you should have it.. _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

ya dude the trick here is you just need to land it, preferably over your toes and ride away when you touch the water

yeah, if you try to literally touch the handle to the wake that your landing on, it will force you to land over your toes. _________________ www.munsonski.com

| I cant land these, but to me it looks like you would land it if you had the weight over your toes, because my falls looked EXACTLY like that when i was first learning w2s 180s a while back |

I just took everyone's advise about really pulling the handle back to that hip once i came back around....then it put me over just like I was supposed to be....I've been workin on some big 180's too just to help me with the landing...I think that helped out alot. But thanks for everyones help...hopefully I'll have a few in our next video. _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

Jeff--
Congrats on landing the 5 bro
I have them pretty dialed...around 90%, and have been taught to take a very broad and unaggressive cut at the wake. I would not call your cut aggressive ,but try to take it a little wider and just "coast" into the wake. This will keep line tension down and allow your body to be able to lean over your toes easier. My advice is to do everything the same that you are (you have great style and technique with that spin it seems) but take that wider and slower cut....less line tension equals consistency for spins 540 and above for A LOT of people |

Gratz on landing it. The Hs 5 is my next big trick to learn, but I'm just now putting the boat in the water so I haven't got to try it yet. Had my 3's dialed last season but never got around to try any 5s, any specific warnings/advice you'd give? Very nice pop and your spin has some great style. Looking forward to seeing that next video. _________________ Litrecola? Do we sell litrecola? |

WtSteve, falls usually arent bad. The most common is to slide out on the landing or fall on your butt. I have taken the occasional front edge catch (450 deg spin) which will definitely rattle you but overall theyre not bad at all.
I just started getting these pretty consistent, couple good tips. Come in slightly front foot heavy. Not much...just a hair. This applies to HS FS 180s too. Adam Fields tought me this and it definitely works. He knows what hes talking about. By coming in slightly front heavy you will get over your toes much better on the landing. Also seems to help my pop, which is my second tip. I always come in concentrating on popping bigger than normal, meaning my knees are slightly more bent so I can explode off the wake more. Good luck |
