How high if the tow point of your tower off the boat deck? I got a monster tower this weekend and the tow point is about 6'5" off the deck. Other towers seem to be higher. _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M, 06 GLI for haulin'.

It depends on how high the gunnels are on you boat, especially w/a universal tower. Most are between 6-7 ft. My tower is 7' from the floor and looks really tall becasue my boat has low gunnels. I have to duck going under the tower on my buddies SAN and I'm 6'3". I wouldn't worry about it unless you have to duck every time you walk under it.

My pylon is 7 feet off the floor. How high is your Monster off the floor? I asked Bill about the heighth of them becuase I was curious myself. He said they should be average heighth on most boats. _________________ Ride harder...

I just bought an older boat with a custom tower and it was like 8 feet off the floor.. Way to high... First thing we did was wack 12 inches+ and reground the welds and new paint. now she is at like 7ft and has room for a bimini, with plenty of room to walk under.... _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/member/Steelerguy

I think most towers are made to be about 7' tall from the floor of the boat. It seems like if it gets much higher than that the tower looks unporportional to the boat. _________________ www.krookedminds.com
