|
| Hi, i plan on putting two amps in my boat. One for the four speakers on the tower. and one for the two subs in the boat. When me and my buddies are out on the lake we are always boarding not too much sitting around. so with the boat running all the time when the music is bumpin will I need another battery to run the system? would the alternator cover it? |

we have a seperate battery to run our stereo and speakers off of, we just did it so the main battery to fire the boat doesnt go dead.
i would do it if you have the room just so you wont be stranded in the middle of the river 1 day _________________ Lanexa VA |

| to add a second battery, you run power/ground to the first battery. You'll need an isolator inbetween the 2 batteries. When the key is turned off, the stereo battery is completely isolated from the main battery, so you can sit if you want to, playing the stereo and the main battery wont be drained. Stinger SR200 is what you'd need. |

you want an isolator!
run a group 29 or 34 battery
i wired this guys boat up to turn the amps on or off
so he can still listen to the stereo without the amp drain
sometimes thumping is not cool _________________ HUMAN BUILT = HUMAN FIXED
