Nailed my first tantrum at the weekend, and am getting my backrolls fairly consistently. Very keen to introduce some TS invert action into the mix. What do people think is the best to be starting with? TS W2W still occasionally a bit sketchy, though getting better... |

Your ts w2w should be solid before attempting an invert. It should also be nice and poppy. You can't huck ts inverts as easily as you can hs. You need height.
I started out attempting front rolls but kept landing halfway to 180 so I started switching the handle to my back hand and 2 attempts later I had a scarecrow. The biggest problem people have with frontrolls and scarecrows are leaving too early. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| i'd sugest a ts backroll, or a scarecrow. whatever you want to do, i can give you tips on both if you'd like, especially the scarecrow because i do them/learned them different than a lot of people. it's a lot more comfortable to me too, the way i throw them. |

| I found (like many people I suspect) that I would get much more solid pop on HS when I was going for back rolls - concentrating on a more progressive edge I guess. Do you get the same thing trying TS inverts, or do you get less pop because you are going into it twisted? |

The trick tips section of wakeboarder.com I believe has videos for ts backroll and scarecrow.
I do find that I go bigger on ts inverts like I do on hs inverts. But you still need to have that comfort level on your ts edge. It's much harder to huck a ts jump than it is a hs. Your technique has to be a lot better. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Ts backroll would be alot easier if you can do tantrums. height shouldnt be an issue if u can make it ts w2w most of the time. just make sure you really cut hard on the last metre of your cut and get a nice pop. _________________ i love lamp. Crikey |

the first time i tried a frontroll i came in on a hard edge and popped and threw probably the prettiest rotation i've ever done and went 6 ft. passed the second wake and landed with too much weight on my heels.... kneed myself in the face next try... they are still a little scary for me now but i'm gettin back into them i've landed a few... haven't taken it as big yet...
i found that the rotation for the frontroll came alot easier when i had a strong edge ... the pop was always solid... _________________ only love i have... is for the lake

Man, I was hammering tants and Brs and wanted something TS.. It was alot easier for me to stick the TSBR before the FR or SC.. But its all personal preference. And for the record, I was landing my tsbr before I was going W2W ts. _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

So I tried a couple of front rolls last week, and exactly the same thing happened to me as Wakebrad. So yesterday I tried a couple of scarecrows - nailed the third attempt. Stoked! I found it much easier to bring the last part of a crow round than to finish the rotation on the front roll - I could just feel the rotation stopping on the FR and would just land on my heels on the wake...
Both initial rotations felt suprisingly easy and natural though. Wish I hadn't left it so long to get some TS inverts going on... |
