Sorry if my questions have been discussed to death already, I couldn't seem to get the search function to work. Anyways, my wife is a snowboarding addict keen to get into the liquid water version of the sport. How much crossover is there? Do snowboarders tend to learn and progress more quickly? Any recommendations for entry-level boards and bindings (she's 6 ft tall, 200 lbs)?
We're thinking about getting a boat, but our boat budget is tiny and so is our tow vehicle (maximum recommended trailer weight of 1000 lbs). Those factors pretty much limit us to 1970s-era 13-15 foot runabouts with outboards in the 40-60 hp range. Obviously not something that will generate a lot of wake, but would it be a reasonable way to get a beginner up and riding?
Thanks. |

Your not going to be able to do much wakeboarding behind a small boat like that. I would suggest looking into wakekating, a 13'-15' boat 40-60 HP would work great
