I finally cut the shape of my wakeskate out, so now I have a 90 degree lip on the top and bottom of the board. I have looked at some pictures to get an idea for the edges put most pictures make it hard to tell excactly what is going on.
Any ideas for shapping the edges? I was thinking about using a router and putting a curve all the way around the top. Then using the router to put a smaller cruve on the bottom just through the middle of the board and have it taper to the exisiting 90 degree edge near the tips. My thought was it would have no edge in the middle making spinning tricks easier, but still have the 90 degree chine near the tips for edging. Does that make any sense?
Thoughts? Unfortunately I don't know anyone that has a new concave deck to see up close. The only wakeskate I have ever used just has 90 degree edges top and bottom all the way around.
I need to router the edges and do some more sanding and then it will be ready for epoxy and riding. Still don't know what I am going to do about fins yet. I guess I could go ahead and drill a whole so I can add them later if need be.
