2008 brand new never touched water (except sea trial) sea ray 205 sport.

5.0 MPI (260 hp) with merc alpha 1

Fully loaded with sat radio, upgraded stereo (with subwoofer), ipod dock, bimini top, all canvas, magnetic drop in sky pylon, etc...

No tower It simply would not fit in the garage with the factory tower. I am going to look for an easy bolt in tower, but the drop in pylon is pretty high up already, so that will be next year.

The graphics suck, but I own an ad/markting company with a graphics design and production department,. Over the summer I am peeling existing stuff, and going to design and apply all new graphics over the whole boat...Ill post pics when I am into that process.

No idea yet. The downtime for my graphics department is in July/august, so we are going to come up with some ideas and superimpose them onto a good hi res pic I will take (these pics are from the day I picked it up and I kind of rushed it before getting it into the garage)

I will post all ideas in a thread on here, maybe do a poll. Maybe you'll all get the chance to be the ones to pick the design?

I want to do something completely unique, thus why I didnt get the wakeboard graphics when I bought it.

ctgretzky99,
I'd stick with the stock graphics personally. I think they look nice and plain.

You have pics of the bow? or the interior?

Ill get some good pics next week when it's out of the garage. The only good interior shot I have is this one I took a while ago the day we brought it home. Tough to get a good shot inside.

I just dont like the graphics, and to me it will be fun to create something unique since I have the resources.

I'll post the process as I do it.

Quick sketch of the design I am favoring right now. The background if you look at the pics above are going to be blue, so we are thinking the design would be white and grey with some small yellow accents...

As well, we will do something up around the "sport 205" area undetermined as of now.

ctgretzky99,
Yeah that's the only thing about Sea Ray's is there is a bit of fiberglass exposed with nothing covering it, which i don't like. Other than that, i think they're fantastic boats, i just prefer more carpet.

My friend's is mainly fiberglass in the bow, not much vinyl at all except on the seats.

I have snap in carpet everywhere. I took this pic last night quick.

Nice boat, but I absolutely hat snap in carpets. Looks kinda tacky.

Chad H, just about every I/O post 2000 has snap carpets. Our 98 Glastron hs all carpet and I must say looks much classier. I really like the interior of the newer wakesetters because its pretty much all carpet even on the seat support frames.

nickl011,
Yeah, I don't mind snap in carpet on the floor, it's useful, it's the whole fact that where your back would sit in the bow there is fiberglass.. I would expect complete cushion up there all around even if it's not a seat, but i guess i'm not a designer.

I actually prefer snap-in. Wish the current boat had them.

Chad H, agree 100% on the bow needing more cushion.

Sorry, promise Ill get a better pic of the bow, but it is fully cushioned and very well. Very comfy to sit up front.

The snap in carpet is awesome, and it seems like it will wear well.

We took it out Saturday for its first run! Awesome time on the water, that thing has some good balls. Gets up to plane very quickly, and turns on a dime. COuldn't go too crazy with the 3 kids on board, but had them hold on tight for a few maneuvers.

Now it is under the covers ready for this saturday again!

Boat is awesome! I have had now several wakeboarders on there who have friends that have Malibus, mastercrafts etc...they all say the same thing: "I never expected the wake off this to be as good as the towboats."

I can get the wake incredibly large with some trim work.

Thanks for asking! How is yours so far?

B

Boat is great...Did a little wakeboarding last year and have tried to as much as possible this year. So far we have just over 90 hours, and have no complaints. (except maybe fuel consumption)...37 gallons does not last too long!! I also got the 260 hp upgrade. I have not yet ridden the 220 hp model, so do not know the difference.
I have just installed 2 mb quart subs and have plans for some dbot5 tower speakers for next summer. Here are some pics...

How do you like the sun deck?? I preffered the seats in the back...which you can set on top to complete the sun deck.
I guess I have had one problem...someone stepped on the back seats and broke one of them...Dont know yet how much to fix it

Love the sunpad back there...perfect spot to hang out and lay out. Nice and large, and makes on big bench seat in the back with cup holders. My bud has a 2006 without it (has the set up with motorbox) and he hates the lack of cup holders!

Nice looking tower..I decided to go with the factory tower. I do like the tow pole in the back that would have been used before your tower...Our boat only has the tow ring.

Yea, I couldnt do the factory tower, as the folding point was above the windshield to fit it into the garage. As it is, I have LITERALLY about 1/2" headroom above the windshield. Which is fine, I really like to Monster anyway, and the bonus is I just ended up paying for the monster tower cash...resulting in $4k less on the boat loan and paying interest on it.

I use the drop in ski post all of the time for tubing, waterskiing and when we go doubles. Comes in handy. The only differences between yours and mine is I can remove mine...which I have to or it gets in the way (yours never gets in the way) and the minimal difference in height which counts for squat in tubing and other stuff. So after all that, its pretty much better to have YOUR ski eye than my drop in lol.
