I started wakeboarding last year and I am not exactly sure what "edge" is. Can someone give me a definition?

Take a wakeboard and tilt it slightly. Now it is on edge.

Imagine you are riding a wakeboard on the water. If the tilt is toward your toes, so that your toes are slightly into the water and your heels are slightly out of the water, although still firmly attached to the board, this is a toeside edge. The opposite is a heel side edge.
