I'm looking to get a new camera. I want something with a good zoom, videos, timer, etc. Give me your feed back on what you feel is a good not too expensive camera. We wakeboard, fish and I take alot of pictures of my kids playing sports. Also, how well does image stablization work?

Are you looking for a point and shoot or an SLR? If you're looking for an SLR a Canon Digital Rebel is tough to beat for the money. Or you can seek out a used 20D/30D for a slight bump in features for the same amount of money. _________________

or something like the Nikon D40x or new D60 if you want a great digital SLR camera. None of these cameras take video though, so depending on your budget you might want to look into buying one of those camcorders that also have a pretty high quality camera built in

I think for my family...since my 5 & 8 year olds take most of the picture of my husband & I...a point and shoot would be better!
