Semi-new to wakeboarding - need suggestions on board

Need advice on a wakeboard. I've wakeboarded a dozen or so times and can get up easily and move around fine and land small jumps. Can't remember the boards I've used but my stats are 5'7" 160 lbs size 8.5 shoe.

I'm looking for a board that is forgiving and that others can fit in to. I don't want to spend much money as I will only use the board a few times a year, so buying a used board might be ideal.

Is there anything in the classified section that might suit me? Any boards I can check out on ebay?

also what is the recommended rope length for wakeboarding? I'd mostly be behind a 2007 Chris Craft Corsair 28' (think 7000 lbs unloaded)

For a forgiving consistent board look into a continuous rocker board. I'm not going to search through ebay or the classifieds section for you but if you come up with some options we can help you narrow them down. There are a lot of solid continuous rocker boards out there that can be found pretty cheap. As far as length goes a 137cm or so board would probably be about right. If you have bigger friends that will share it you could go up to 140, or smaller friends and you could go down to 135.

At 8.5 you'd probably be best for medium bindings. If you have bigger friends Large bindings will fit more people. Get bindings with laces and you can always tighten them down. They will fit a lot more people.

Just stick with the major brands and you will get a fine starter board. If you can demo do it.

i've got a ronix vault for sale (see the classifieds section) - i had a couple beginners ride it last summer and they both loved it. it rides smooth and is fairly forgiving - not too fast either. let me know if you are interested
