Have you ever wanted to spend a week on a lake powell houseboat with out the huge expense of renting or the stress of not knowing exactly how it all works?
I own a prime week (sat pm to sat am)on a private houseboat on Powell first week of June (3/31-6/6) when the temps and weather are usually just right... not too hot yet and the nights still cool down!
The best news is "Snow melt will raise half empty Lake Powell by 50 feet, opening a notable shortcut for boaters for the first time in five years, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation said." http://www.azstarnet.com/allheadlines/232287.php
Most of the friends and family that I usually share this with will not fully comit to the trip for one reason or another this year be it work, family, financial difficulties or who knows.
So I am rolling the dice to share the experience and the expenses! Why you might ask... I cant personally sell my stake to just anyone for obvios reasons, the maintenance fees and such have to be paid if I use it or not and I really enjoy going to powell every year!
If you find that this is your thing and you want to buy into it one way or the other, this experience will go a long way.
This is a fully equiped average size and age houseboat in good condition, not the biggest or fanciest so no need to be nervous about actually using it for what it is made for! It is in a slip at wahweap marina (Page AZ)it is sixty some feet long and it has a slide, toy fuel tanks, pwc hoist, two fridges, chest freezer, trash compactor, twin v-8 volvo drive, charting gps, upper controls, A/C, generator, inverter, TV, a cool infared gas grill and what not.
It is most comfortable with about 8 to 10 people, more is possible but remember it is a whole week so everyone needs to get along real well! A limited number of kids are OK but toddlers, babies and doggies might prove hard to keep up with.
I fit into the 35-45 domo and I am easy to get along with and can roll with almost any situation. I have twenty years of boat ownership experience, coast guard safe boater and advanced lifesaving training. I can party with the best of them or just kick back and hang out!
Here is a guided houseboat on powell listing on e-bay for 12k that includes a runabout.

Option 1 you need a boat
I could actually do better than what they are offering for HALF of what they are asking and bring my fully equiped tige v-drive wakeboard boat! Even match throwing in up to $750 in gas! (yes they are offering $1500 but they are also charging double too)
Rental houseboats this size during this time start at around $8k/week along with tax, damage waiver insurance, pumpout, cleaning fees etc;
Option 2 you have your own boat(s)
$4000 for the whole week and as a bonus bring a 215hp Sea Doo RXP to share!
Heck just to rent a jet ski for a week (which would be slower and less fun) would be well over 2k plus tax and damage waiver etc:
Option 3 you or your posse has all the toys
$3000 is bottom dollar and probably wont even cover all my costs!
Much less the time off work!
What I am offering is a bargain especially considering that you dont have to worry about piloting it or getting into a bad situation.
Food, beverages gas are not included (except for option 1), however everything is negotiable.
PM me with your contact info and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
