Hey, just recently got into wakeboarding, loving it already. I was wondering if there was any reccomended angle for the front binding to be placed at, and if it changes with the skill level, of if it is simply personal preference?
Thanks for the input,
Ben

If you plan to ride switch, which you will eventually, you probably need to get to where both feet are binded toe-out at the same angle.

To start most folks have issues staying twisted enough. Putting the 'back' binding straight and putting the 'front' binding pointing more towards the nose can help this... but you really need to get away from it before it creates bad habits.

Twist your upper body hard, keep your back straight and you arms bent, and you can ride with the bindings out at the same angle front and back.

As for how much toe-out.... I like to use the jump test. Stand on a chair and jump off. When you land you absorb as much force as you would from a normal w2w landing. Look at your feet. They should be somewhere around shoulder width apart and somewhere around angled toe-out at 10-30 degrees. This is where your body is telling you that you are most comfortable/strongest. It is a good starting point.

In the end... it is all personal preference. Hope this helps.

Make sure when your doin the chair test DO NOT think about your feet. Try counting lines on a wall or spellin out the name of the color paint on the wall.
