Just looking for opinions about the new 230 vs the old 210. I was impressed in the handling of the 230 vs the 210, but the cost of the upgrade is just plain scary. Comments appreciated, thanks.
This site and the members on this site really gave me some great insight when I purchased my first new boat a few years ago, so thought I would try it again. |

Hi Razor,
I heard good stories of the new 230. Great wake and CC quality. I'm thinking of upgrading our 2006 210 to a 2008 220 or 230, but still have to testdrive them. I think you can get some good experience and insight information on the forum of www.planetnautique.com .
Good luck. |

Laptom,
Thanks for the feedback. We're looking into the 220 also, love the layout of the new boats. Nice thing about the the 220 I wouldn't have to get a new lift and canopy. I'm going to try planet nautique next. Thanks again. |

razor, I have been on both the (old) 210 and 220 and honestly preferred the wake behind the 220. The first day it was only me, two other guys (coaches), and stock ballast and the wake was great! I had no desire for a bigger wake but the next time out there were 8 people in the boat and the wake was HUGE! (actually bigger than I would prefer all though I'm sure I could have gotten used to it. )
I really like the layout of the 220 too. Even with 8 people none of us were cramped or pressed up to each other. I've heard people talk about a tiny bow but I was up there comfortably with two other people.
I've been in and around the 230 but not on the water. It is a bigger boat than I'd imagine I'd ever need but beautiful nonetheless.
Oh, and the Zero-Off GPS is killer! I hit double ups for the first time and the coaches were talking about how no other speed control system could do that. But they were sayint it to each other as they had just got the boat.
It was an '08 and the new tower and graphics look amazing. It was white with a black stripe down the center. Absolutely beautiful.
The coaches could do amazing things behind it and I was asking one of them about which wake he prefers most. He said there's something about Nautiques that just seem to give him an extra little kick. He rides a lot behind Malibus and MCs too and likes the wake but he prefers the Nautique wake.
Anyway, good luck in your purchase! Wish I was in a position to buy a boat right now. |

I rode behind the 230 in september. The wake is amazing stock, we added 750lbs and it was amazing x 30. Pardon the pun. The old 210 is sweet but a little steep and has a shorter ramp so it's harder for load release tricks. The 230 is a perfect mix. I know it's spendy, but it is so much more comfortable and the wake is more versatile.
They just recieved a new one at the local dealer, it's black with a yellow center strip, the trailor has big chrome wheels, and that Titan tower chromed. I walked in and my jaw dropped. If you have an extra 90k sitting around do it. |

I currently own a 2001 Super Air Nautique and a 1971 Correct Craft Southwind project.. Before them, it was a 1986 Ski Nautique 2001. Before that was a 1975 Mustang 16. It's no secret that while I like a lot of boats that are out there, I am a Correct Craft fanboy. Although I could be convinced to jump to a Malibu 247 if the right opportunity presented itself as it is a thing of beauty.
My next boat will be a 230, not a redesigned 2007+ 210.
That's my opinion. The 230/236 is a classic in the making. |
