So I just got a Venus and I love that it has an mp3 player on it but it uses a 2.5mm jack instead of a 3.5mm. All the earphones I can find have a mic and crap so you can use them to talk on the phone but I don't want to. I just want to use them to listen to tunes. Has anyone ever seen just plain earphones that have a 2.5mm jack? I have seen the adapter to go from 2.5mm to 3.5mm but even those have a button to answer the frickin phone which I don't want.

Just buy and adapter without the mic/switch and use whatever earphones you like. An acquaintance who owned a Cingular store just gave me one off the rack. I think his regular price for it was a whopping $4.99. This is the most obvious option.
Alternatively, I have a Jabra set that sounds great, and works well as both stereo earphones and as a wired headset.
This is overpriced, but it is exactly what you are looking for.

The adaptor is a bitch to keep in your pocket if that's where you keep your phone. From what I've seen, they stick out a good inch.

The adapter I have is 2" long, flexible, with a right-angle plug on the phone (male) side.
It sticks out less than the regular headset plug did. Maybe 1/4".
