Since it seems that this board's owner is from Texas, half the members are from Texas. I think they deserve their own forum.

To this I can only say:
1. I disagree with your assertion. Our boss is in Texas -true. A lot of "busy" posters in Non-Wake appear to be too, but that doesn't mean half the audience is.
2. Are you serious?
3. I think it would be bad for the site. We already have arguably too much segmentation in the forums (Share Your Boat, Winching and so on). I'd love to see us go back to 5-10 forums instead of 10-20.

really some of the forums could be removed such as DIY, Buiseness and finance, accesories, slider talk, and winching
they just dont get enough attention and a topic could be posted in general wakeboarding or non wakeboarding
also the other board sports section could be put into one forum instead of 4 different ones
thats my opinion

That is an opinion that I share. I would like to see Business and Finance remain because it is working as intended - and it was my idea  . And Media, Technology and Photography is flourishing as well. Bottom line - the boss makes the call on these things. Ed has agreat vision for the site and after all - it is his! I get to make cases for doing certain things and as the forums admin once in awhile move things around - but a large consolidation of the forums would have a potential impact on ad impressions - and that is an understandable concern that I would not want to mess around with.
In a perfect world I would wish to keep:
General Wakeboarding Discussion
Trick Tips
Newbie Questions
Wakeskating
Ladies Lounge
Contention Corner (a mod only forum in which Shawn and I engage in arguments that never see a winner)
Boat General Discussion
Non-Wakeboarding
Technology, Photography, and Media
Business and Finance
Classified Ads
Find a Pull
Site Suggestions
Snowboarding
Skateboarding
While I'd remove:
Winching - Because it is slow, isn't growing and isn't necessary with the wakeskating forum's popularity.
Slider Talk - most immature posts, could be consolidated into General Wake - would be beneficial to remove.
Accessories - People don't use it. They post boat accessory threads in Boat General.
DIY Projects - See above.
Share Your Boat - See above, above.
Kiteboarding - I could go either way on this. It is a slow forum. Very niche sport still. I questions its usefuless on this site (don't tell JasonSSR because I like that guy). |

You can drop the winch forum.. I have that on wakeskating.com. Let me look at the other stuff.
And for a Texas forum...don't we have 360wakeboard for that?
