jt09, likely for a print ad. It's on their Facebook feed now.
https://www.facebook.com/delta
I can't imagine they sent Bike Chrysler up there in a custom Lear just to post a neato pic their FB page. _________________

Thanks for the post chavez!
That photo was one of many captured during a recent air-to-air shoot for Delta. We shot helicopter-based footage of the 737-900 taxiing and doing a few touch-and-goes, and then did air-to-air for a few hours from the Lear. The shoot was for general Delta marketing imagery, not for any specific campaign, so the images might trickle out over the next few months or even years.
The helicopter was an A-Star AS350B3 with a Gyron 935 holding a Red Epic-X with Angineux 24-290, and the Lear is a Lear 25B with one Red Epic-X and one Red Dragon Epic, as well as a 5D Mark 2 mounted externally in a remote controlled camera pod out on the left wing.
The 737-900ER was without passengers, and was flown by two Boeing factory test pilots.
For the pilots among us, the whole flight was conducted VFR as a flight of two, no different from if two Cessnas wanted to go out and fly formation. Except these pilots had considerable experience in doing exactly that. It's worth checking out the reel of the Learjet company Wolfe Air here: https://vimeo.com/70994185
Not sure if I can post any BTS stills or video of my shoot. |

Closed on a 1985 King Air F90-1 on Monday. Blackhawk 135A engines, Raisbeck props, aft strakes, wing lockers, Dual G600 and G750 glass.
I'll fly the F90 for the first time tomorrow. I'll keep the 182 until I can PIC the F90. |

Holy hell man! I see owning an oil company is much more lucrative than working for one. Congrats on your purchase, very cool! _________________

chavez, Thanks! The yoke mount is something the previous pilot used. He said he used it for approach plates, which makes no sense to me since there's only 4 other monitors he can pull up plates on. It's no longer in the plane.
RampageWake, Thanks! Something about if it floats, flies, or f... I think we've each got 2 of the 3.
jt09,Thanks! The RRC is about 9 months behind on new completions. I occasionally pull up our production on the pay sites and it includes wells we sold years ago and doesn't include anything in the past year typically. |

Yea, I already saw he operates wells in Schleicher county. We kept the minerals on a ranch we used to have there, I thought about calling him when I found out he was operating there. _________________

As of 10/1/14 we're down to 1 lease in Schleicher County. We had some good luck there in 2008-2010 and sold most of our production to another company in 2010. We've tried a couple of other ideas in Schleicher since then without much luck. Today, we keep one rig drilling in Howard County and another rig that bounces between Martin, Glasscock, Dawson, Howard, and Midland Counties. |

USMGolfer, the previous owner had it blocked. I assume it will be unblocked once the new registration goes through. |

Bush pilots are a special kind of crazy. My first (and only) ride in a super cub out of the Canadian bush similar to this video was absolutely terrifying and wildly addicting at the same time.

Just flying through that valley made my palms sweat. It wouldn't take much wind shear to put you in the trees. |
