help with movie editing

i just started making movies with windows movie maker. after making a few videos i decided to put them onto a DVD, when i tried to DVD the bootom half of the screen is green and, i made a slide show that was made from pictures from a digital camera and it workds fine.
im not really good with computers and i cant figure anything out. anyone know how to fix this.
