After a 42 hour drive (and $895 in gas), ATX is a fading memory....

....sniffle....

The fam and I are now settled on PEI. With the summer settling in, the boy and I did our 1st set last week. He was in a drysuit and I managed a wetsuit.

Sold 'Crack Oar' to her new home in a private dock on Lake Austin before I left and downgraded to sharing the local towerless outboard with an 1984 85hp outboard. No complaints as it is better than nothing..... till I make a purchase.

Someone drink a Carlos n' Charlies margarita and chow down on El Grande Buritto for me. In return, I will pack you a snowball in 2-3 months when the weather fades. Smile

The water was that cold that you really needed a wetsuit/drysuit last week? I'm not that far away (NS) and it was around 30C most of last week. Anyway there probably aren't many better places to be in the summer than the Maritimes. The winter however...

You fail to realize that anyone that leaves an area of humid summers is going to think a temperature in the 70's is considered freezing weather. Wink Laughing Laughing Laughing

See that all the time in Orlando. Smile

Water here is sitting in the upper 80's or lower 90's by this time of year. I know the pools are normally around 95 by july here. But it's been a mild summer. Not too hot.

water above 85 is too hot. I rode in NC in some lake around Greensboro that was like 103 or something. Just not even fun anymore, although that was heated by a power plant or something?

I was up near ottawa rafting on the river, and it was about 16-20 C (60-68 F). That was cold though.

arof, sounds like Hyco maybe? I sometimes ride on a lake in VA that's heated, sucks when it hits 100+ in the summer but it's awesome when it doesn't drop below 70 in the winter.
