My courtesy light has never worked in my truck and I really do not want to go through the process of figuring out what's wrong with it (already checked the bulb+fuses so it's gonna be the wiring) and I thought hey instead of one light, I'll do a bunch of them.
So has anyone here done any LED lighting in their vehicle? I was just wanting to do a few in orange under the dash around the foot area and a light or two on either side of the bench seat as well as a strip of clear lights above the doors.
I phoned Lordco and they said they have LED kits in the price range of $20-$300 so I wanna keep this as cheap as possible. Has anyone done anything similar to this and could you enlighten me on how much this would cost and what the wiring process was like?
(Something like this without the blue)

I'll be ordering a few things for my truck tomorrow. My friend sold me his unused Rockford Punch 10" sub for $20 and I'll be making a sub box if it doesn't go in the boat. Just to add a little touch to it I'll be putting one of these around it possibly connected through the stereo power
Under the dash I'll have 4 5mm LEDs per side. I found a 20 pack of prewired blue LEDs for $19.99 and a switch in the dash to turn those on when the ignition is on/accessory.
I've been doing my homework so this should work if I'm not too lazy to carry through with it _________________

With a little knowledge and skill you can buy a 100 pack of leds with resistors for a 12v system for less than 15 shipped. Check out ebay if your really trying to do a diy project, not just throw some prefabbed led system under the dash |
