I have a 2002 Supra SSV 22'. I bought my kids a 4 person towable for christmas. Should I hook the rope up to the ski pylon or to the rear eyes on the back of the boat. I wasnt sure what the weight rating was on the ski pylon.
Thanks,
Fin |

I read here once that your inboard will burst into flames if you pull a tube with it, LOL!
I would hook them to the rear eyes and not the pylon. |

Pylon is actually a very strong point.. either would be fine IMO.
I'm sure you know this but do not put it on the tower as it will do damage! _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

I definately wont use the tower. I have pulled a 2 person tube on the pylon and it worked fine. It does look very stout. The tube requires a rope rated at 4100# so I was curious where to hook it to. The tube paperwork says not to use the ski pylon. I will try and get in touch with Supra and see what they say.
Thanks,

I wouldn't use the pylon or a tower. Just use the ski tow eye. _________________

| if it's for the kids though, i don't think it would be a problem from the tower. |

ohio_wake_2008,
But what's the point? to get more air? Kids don't need to be getting that much air. |

On most/all newer boats, the ski pylon is directly anchored to the hull of the boat, so you shouldn't have a problem towing from there. I've used both that rear tow eye and the ski pylon to attach my tube to the boat when shooting from a tube and I've had no problems. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

scott a, Thats my thinking; the pylon's a damn strong point as it's bolted to either the stringers, engine mounts or both. I'd trust it just as much as the rear tow point. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |
