i'm looking to get my first snowboard setup, but there is so much out there that i have no idea. i'm in indiana, and the hills around here aren't that great. i just learned how to ride last winter so i'm still kinda new. i am pretty comfortable on the rental boards that i used last winter, but i want to learn to do some tricks as well as free riding.

i'm 5'10" and 175 lb. i'd like to get a board and bindings around $500. from what i've read, it seems like i should be looking for something around 159 in length.

if you guys have any suggestions, i'd appreciate them as well as any other advice. i haven't spent much time on the snow, but i had a blast last winter.

I would look into:

Ride: DH, Havoc
Rome: Crail, Agent
Nitro: Eero, Misfit, T2

As for binds:
Ride: Delta
Rome: 390, Aresnal
Nitro (Raiden): 0, Blackhawk

might be a little more $$... but don't cheat yourself.... and remember to get comfy boots that work for you!
