Why was the "Bushisms" post killed? Has www.wakeboarder.com become a Republican site? Or was something stupid written that contributed to its deletion?

It seemed like a pretty harmless post to me. To me, it seems like these signatures that say something like, "My opinion is related to that of wakeboarder.com" are pretty meaningless.

I dont blame them for pulling it, I read a news article about how a guy was in a chat room and said something bad about the pres, and the secret service questioned him for 3 hours. Better to be safe then sorry with that stuff, in fact, where did this thread go?

I dont think it would. My dad had to work with the secret service one time (he wasnt actually in the secret service) and those guys take their jobs SOOOOOO seriously. They dont lighten up at all, at least not when they're on duty.

I think 'Bushisms' got the axe b/c I kind of got into it with Goatwake, it wasn't a big deal but he was dropping f-bombs so I called him out and asked him to chill on the cussing and he replied with a few more harsh terms not suited for this msg board. Its all good now but the thread paid the ultimate price.

None of these threads would get deleted if people could act a little more civilized and refrain from cussing in their posts. All it takes is one profane post for an entire thread to get deleted, its a shame but you got to understand where the moderators are coming from. Nobody wants to be exposed to that crap.

The only time I would think a thread is deleted is when the topic is bad.

if you catch it early enough I am sure that would usually solve the problem, but one or two bad posts usually send the thread downhill with no recovery, its becoming increasingly common for the actual topic to disappear into a post of nonsense and/or smack talking.

its not easy to delte several different posts in one thread.

even if you get all the ones with cursing, you are left with a bunch that refer back to ones that were deleted.

besides - most of the topics in non-wake aren't worth saving
